What Is Involved In The Liposuction Procedure?
All liposuction techniques use the same basic steps.
Marking and anesthesia. Dr. Angelina marks the areas to be treated. Next, the applicable type of anesthesia or sedation chosen for your plan is administered.
Small incisions. Small incisions are created near the areas being treated.
Fluid and fat removal. A tumescent solution may be injected into the targeted tissue that contains lidocaine to help break up the fat cells and ease discomfort. Then the cannula is passed through the incisions to loosen and remove fat with suction.
Contour checks. Dr. Angelina works across the marked areas and checks balance as the fat is removed.
Closure and compression. The incisions are closed or dressed as planned, and a compression garment may be applied to support the tissue during early healing.
