Xeomin® Injections in Atlanta, GA
Varies TYPE OF PROCEDURE
What Is Xeomin®?
Xeomin® (incobotulinum toxin A) belongs to the family of neuromodulators and, like Botox®, is derived from botulinum toxin type A.
Neuromodulators temporarily paralyze the muscles that they are injected into, which renders them inactive. When injected into targeted muscles in the face, they reduce the appearance of wrinkles and frown lines.
While it shares the same active ingredient as Botox, it goes through a different manufacturing process. The extra proteins are eliminated during the Xeomin purification process, leaving only the essential parts of the molecule. This lowers the possibility of experiencing an allergic reaction or building up an immunity to the effectiveness of the injection.

What Should I Expect From My Xeomin® Treatments?
Xeomin targets the continual contractions made by the muscles that create and control visible lines in the forehead. Xeomin is specially formulated to treat glabellar lines or the “11” lines that form between an individual’s eyebrows. It can effectively soften or eliminate these moderate-to-severe “frown” lines.
Your specialist will strategically target these muscles and treat them with an injection of Xeomin to stop or significantly decrease the muscle movement, which will result in a smoother forehead and a more relaxed demeanor.
The needle used for Xeomin injections is tiny, and most patients tolerate the injections well with no topical anesthetic; however, it can be used if needed.
Most people begin to see initial results within three days, but it can take up to a month for final results.
How Long Do the Results of Xeomin® Last? The results of Xeomin should last between three and five months but will vary by patient.
