Schedule A ConsultationWhat Is Xeomin®?
Xeomin® is made from botulinum toxin type A, which is the same active ingredient found in Botox® but unlike Botox, it does not contain any additional additives or proteins.
Xeomin is a neuromodulator that, when injected, temporarily paralyzes the treated muscles so they do not move and cause visible wrinkles or frown lines to form during normal facial expressions. The skin remains smooth above the treated muscles and reduces the appearance of dynamic wrinkles like crow’s feet and forehead lines.
Who Is A Candidate?
A good candidate for Xeomin® treatments is someone over the age of 18 who is in good health and would like to reduce fine lines and wrinkles but still appear natural-looking, refreshed, and youthful.
Adults with moderate to severe facial wrinkles, including frown lines, forehead lines, crow’s feet, or other wrinkles caused by repetitive muscle movements.
Individuals who have developed a resistance to Botox may be a good candidate for Xeomin since it is a pure neurotoxin.
Procedure Steps
After your personal consultation, your IBI Plastic Surgery & Med Spa specialist will clean the Xeomin treatment area to remove any dirt, oil, or makeup.
If needed, a numbing cream may be applied, but most people find the treatment very tolerable without it.
Your specialist will strategically target muscles that create dynamic lines and wrinkles and treat them with an injection of Xeomin using a very tiny needle, which will stop or significantly decrease their movement. The procedure normally takes less than 10 minutes.
Benefits
Reduces the appearance of frown lines on the forehead, around the eyes, crow’s feet, etc.
This purified or “naked” formula can sometimes last longer than other neuromodulators because its pure formula reduces the risk of building up resistance to its effect.
A Xeomin treatment may work well for people with a tendency toward allergic reactions since it is free from extra ingredients.
The procedure is done in the office and only takes between 10 to 15 minutes.
No recovery time is needed & offers fast results.
The anti-aging benefits last for 3 to 5 months.
The injections can be repeated as needed to maintain results.
Recovery
Recovery after Xeomin® injections is quick and easy, and there is little to no downtime. Most people can return to their normal activities immediately after the procedure, but you should follow the aftercare instructions provided by your specialist to ensure you get the best results.
Results
Most people see noticeable improvements starting at about 3 or 4 days, and full results are usually noticeable within a week or two. The effects of smoother skin and reduced wrinkles can last about 3 to 4 months, and regular touch-ups can help maintain your refreshed, youthful look.
Before And After
You can see the dramatic difference in this Xeomin before and after picture. The woman’s face is virtually free from dynamic wrinkles after the Xeomin injections.
Is Xeomin Safe?
Yes, Xeomin is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for some medical and cosmetic uses and is considered safe when administered by a trained and qualified professional. Like any type of medical treatment, there are some potential risks and side effects that may occur with use, though these are typically mild and temporary.
