A small 2025 human study of XERF followed 20 women with mild to moderate facial skin aging for 12 weeks after one treatment. Two blinded reviewers correctly picked the after-treatment photos in 80% of cases. Participants rated pain as mild to moderate, and the study reported no unexpected adverse events. The sample was small and did not include men or every skin type, so the findings do not predict each person’s result.
A 2024 study of dual-frequency XERF energy found early changes in collagen and deeper tissue in pigs. This work helps explain how XERF may work, but it was not a long-term human trial. The authors called for more research on long-term results in people.
