Enhancing the breasts with breast implants has a profoundly positive effect on a woman’s self-esteem and appearance. No matter your age or stage in life, you may find that your breasts are not the shape or size that you prefer. You may have experienced weight loss, pregnancy, or simply have an imbalance in the size of your breasts, with one larger than the other.
You may have even undergone a surgery or an injury to one or both breasts. You are looking for a boost in confidence, a restoration of the youthful curves you once had, and a revival of symmetry and fullness to feel more like yourself.
Over time, the procedure of breast augmentation has become the most popular cosmetic procedure, and therefore, the technique has been improved greatly. Nowadays, a wide variety of implant technologies are offered to patients. The most popular are silicone or saline breast implants.
The implants are FDA approved and provide a natural look and feel. The difference is the content of the implant. Before choosing a type of breast implant that fits your expectations, a consultation with a board certified cosmetic surgeon is required.

Adding the volume and curves to the breasts
Clothing fits better and looks more attractive
Satisfaction and confidence, aesthetically pleasing shape
Enhancing your body proportions
Before surgery, you will meet with Dr. Angelina Postoev to review your medical history and to discuss the breast augmentation surgery and your breast implants, set realistic expectations, and ask any questions.
Together with Dr. Angelina, you will review implant types, sizes, shapes, textures, and try on sample implants to determine the right implants for you. You will be given the instructions to prepare for the procedure, if necessary.
Breast augmentation surgery
is performed under general anesthesia at an accredited surgery center. Surgery will take approximately 1 hour. During that time, Dr. Angelina will provide an injectable pain medication, eliminating the need for stronger oral pain medication after surgery. She will then create an incision and place the implant, and depending on the type chosen, fill the implant to the desired level, repeating the same on the other side.
Although rarely, sometimes women choose to have their implants removed for medical or cosmetic reasons. If necessary, Dr. Angelina can also assist with removing breast implants in addition to revising previous surgeries that resulted in less than desirable results.
The breast implant provides long-lasting and natural-looking results. You will enjoy the final result up to three months after the breast implant surgery. Breast implants technically do not expire, but they are not guaranteed to last a lifetime. On average, saline or silicone implants will last for about 10-20 years.
After surgery, surgical tape and dressing will be applied to the breasts to protect them and facilitate healing.
You may experience mild pain, swelling, bruising, and tenderness, most of which will be managed in the first two days with an injectable pain medication.
After two days, over-the-counter pain medication should be sufficient to manage postoperative pain. For optimal results, you should take good care of yourself and follow all postoperative restrictions and advice, including in regards to when you can return to work. You should avoid lifting things heavier than 20 lbs.
Studies on silicone implants that have been conducted by the FDA and numerous other organizations have found no link between silicone implants and autoimmune disorders or cancer. Occasionally, complications, such as leaks or ruptures can happen. The surgeon will recommend you to get a routine MRI or other diagnostic scans to check for leaks and ruptures.
The cost of surgery varies by patient based on several factors. During your initial consultation, our team will discuss the cost of your procedure and share information about our flexible financing options.
